Mobility×IoT×FinTech start-up company Global Mobility Service selected in Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)’s “J-Startup” program Certified to receive government scholarship for “start-up companies that can succeed on the world stage”

Global Mobility Service, inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President-director corporate executive officer/CEO: Tokushi Nakashima, hereinafter referred to as "GMS") is pleased to notify that it has been selected as one of the companies of the “J-Startup" program, a support program for the development and overseas deployment of Japanese start-up companies, and the expansion of unicorns, provided by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

About the “J-Startup” program

The “J-Startup” program is a government startup support measure listed in the "New Economic Policy Package," which was approved by the Cabinet in December, 2017. It is placed with importance as a measure for Japan to achieve sustainable economic growth, and proposes the objective of creating 20 companies including unicorns and listed venture companies by 2023. With this aim, a total of 92 companies with the high expectation to succeed on the world stage, were nominated out of approximately 10,000 Japanese startup companies by top venture capitalists, accelerators, and those in charge of innovation of large companies, in addition to rigorous examination by the external review committee. These companies will be certified with special treatment from the government as J-Startup companies.
